This is a unique overnight program using "time travel guides" to explore the cultural history of Southern California, from the pre-colonial era to modern times. During the two days spent in the Time Capsule, students will explore the lives of Acjachemen Indians and how life changed for these indigenous people upon the arrival of the Spanish in Alta California. The evening program delves into the economy of the Rancho era, and a look at the lives of the Forty-Niners during the California Gold Rush. Day two focuses on the cultural history of California during the modern era.
