In this one-day version of the California Time Capsule Overnight, students are led by "time travel guides" in an exploration of the cultural history of Southern California. Students will learn about the Acjachemen Indians and how life changed for these indigenous people upon the arrival of the Spanish in Alta California. The day concludes with a virtual exploration of the lives of the Forty-Niners during the California Gold Rush.
